Dolpa district, a part of Karnali zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal. Dunai is the distirct headquarters of Dolpa District. Lack of roads and extremely difficult air access are perhaps the most important constraints to tourismdevelopment in the area. Shey Phoksundo is the largest and the only trans-Himalayan National Park in Nepal.
